Tractor Time - Down for Repairs?
I had to take a run down into South County, St. Louis today. Not much to see that way except for construction equipment with lot's of traffic and road cones.
Still I keep my eye open for any nice tractor sights on the way in and out.
I did see a guy pulling an 18 foot trailer that had somehow managed to fit three old John Deere tractors onto the thing. If we hadn't been hurling at 75 mph down the highway I would have taken a pic with my phone.
Apparently the tractor girls had some mechanical issues while I was gone because I didn't see where anything had been done while I was gone.

I imagine they were busy chasing those worthless roosters instead of working on your tractors.
ReplyDeleteSf - LOL More than likely. The real Women folk around here are in love with those roosters.
DeleteBe careful down there in St Louis county. Remember "hands up, don't shoot". If those thugs try to stop you, remember a 300 HP engine and a steel bumper is hard to stand up to. Just drive on home and if the law does track you down, just claim you were in fear for your life and needed to extradite yourself from the situation, and then you were just too rattled to stop. PTSD or something similar. (I have a real sleazy lawyer, he's great!)
ReplyDeleteSD - I carefully avoided the North end. I was down in the mostly Lilly White South part of the city. I got on I-64 clear out in Wentzville and swung way South of the trouble spots.
DeleteSend the tractor girls my way.
ReplyDeleteSaturday I fabbed up a skid for my sickle mower and mowed the weeds down in the ice house field. Was 1 round from finishing the block when the pto shaft broke.
then I noticed the left rear tire was flat.
Tonight i got the bead busted and pulled the inner tube with just enough energy left to put it and myself in the truck and drive back.
John - Ouch. You can have all these tractor girls as far as I am concerned. They aren't interested in me and only want to use my tractors as modeling props. I feel like that Indian character from "Josey Wales"
DeleteThey ain't for eating just looking at.
pumped it up this am before going to work, a little wrinkle had rubbed against the tire. not to bad, I remember bush hogging a few years ago, I think I got 2 flats in a week. that's another reason to like a sickle mower
DeleteJohn - I had a flat on the back tire of my 8N a few years ago. That things weighs a ton and a half. I never want to have to man handle one of those again.
