It's Not III% Think Fifty III%

Another mild day around the Small-Hold. The snow is melting fast now however if you travel 10 or 20 miles South of us it is almost completely gone while the fields and most of the area around the Small-Hold is still covered with snow albeit only a few inches deep at best with some grass sticking out.

Any place someone has walked or driven has totally melted now but any place that saw no traffic is still white and most of the snow piles are still very high. well over normal sized car height.

My seedlings are really starting to take off now with most of them already on the second growth leaves to the point of being able to visually tell the difference between Tomatoes and peppers and even to the point of distinguishing somewhat between different types of tomato varieties as well.

The lamb triplets have survived and are growing like little weeds. Grandma matriarch (I will never admit to calling her that it would make her head swell) goes in and feeds em every afternoon to help their real mother out some. Triplet little boys need a lot of milk and my mom is afraid their mother can't keep up. Sheep mom seems to be happy with her special accommodations still and has reached the point that she doesn't even mind the barn dog or cats visiting her babies in the slightest. She used to head but them away.

I was able to check on the North Apiary and the hives up there appear to be still alive although light on stores. One of the larger hives somehow managed to get it's entrance reducer removed so I have no idea how long they had a wide open entrance but they still had bees inside and a few foragers coming and going. One of the three remaining hives from last year is still showing signs of life, the other two are at the West apiary which I haven't checked yet. Looks like four hives are still alive at the least to date and I need to start feeding them again as soon as it warms up just a wee bit more.

We are so close to being able to close the book on another Winter and I can't wait until I know the danger period is past. Still another Winter gone means another year added and these days I know I am getting closer to the top end (May it be a large number) and further from the bottom end. Which has gotten me started down some paths I have not really had to explore much before.

As this long slow slide continues and the cracks keep growing toward the inevitable end I see quite clearly (even if many disagree) I am now honestly beginning to see the possibility of my graduation from III% to what I am going to term the 50-III%.

My guess is I still have at least a decade of being useful in the III% category but you never know and to be blunt in many ways the 50-III% will be just as useful, if not more so, in many ways.

I have read estimates of those who were only able to support the revolutionary effort in the late 1700's as ranging anywhere from 30% to as much as 60% of the population. It varied of course geographically and depending on how well things were going and for whom at any given time but my gut feeling on the subject is that at least 50% or more of the population supported the men in the field at some point or another. I admit that is a gut feeling so I am open to other opinions on that subject of course.

When the balloon goes up and the Liberal/Feminist, Right grabbing, Big Government thugs make their move it will be the 53% who will supply the support, material and foodstuffs needed for the III% to begin defending Freedom.

I am not kidding here and I hope all of you wonderful patriots out there who know you do not have the training or will admit you are physically not up to the demands of armed resistance begin planning for this eventuality. Especially in the beginning there won't be large convoys of MRE's and Ammo being shipped in via a long logistic support effort. There will be no French aid or Spanish intervention, no large sympathetic companies opening their warehouses for the defenders of freedom. I am not saying those examples are not a possibility eventually but they are not such a sure thing as to count on them.

Let's just throw an example of a gun grabber raid. As Federal agents made up of Homeland Security draftees quickly recruited from enthusiastic Organizing for (Obama) Action  members go house to house in a rural area ransacking and confiscating firearms. The local militia comes out and begins an ad-hoc campaign of resistance. At first loosely organized and having with them only the provisions, weapons and ammo they had on hand as individuals they are able to meet and ambush a couple of the small confiscation teams. As HS calls for backup and more thugs move into the area the militia must adopt a guerrilla effort aimed at slowing down the illegal and Non-Constitutional attacks while being outnumbered but hoping for pro-sentiments to grow across the country bringing with it supplies and men.

Who is going to supply the local III% to keep them in the field until that happens?

The 50-III% that's who. You, me (eventually we will all be limited to support roles only let's be honest here). When the foragers of the beleaguered and temporarily (we hope)  out numbered militia unit come calling they are not going to turn down your home grown cucumbers. They will not sneer at mutton on the hoof or a five gallon pail of rice. They are not going to turn up their nose at 1000 rounds of once fired 5.56 rounds reloaded on a hand press or care what brand of .45 acp you hand them.

It will be the foresight, goodwill and stockpiles of the patriot minded 50-III% that will keep our defenders in the field and allow them to continue the resistance. Stores will not magically appear they must be planned for and ready to be donated when the need arises.

Keep Prepping Everyone!!!!

  4. I've been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
