Apple in Bloom
Another day without rain. I think that makes two in a weeks time. Almost unheard of this time of year although we did have heavy winds all morning that made it impossible to get anything done outside and they are predicting rain this evening. I had to go mow my dad's yard today and then was going to knock out the house we own in town's grass as well when my push mower decided to stop working. Not a huge problem as I have a second one (actually I have a third as well) but I only brought one with me so I had to turn around and go home to get a spare. When I got back to the Small-Hold we had another lamb born.
That makes number 25 now. I decided to wait on the house in town and just get the lamb tags and shots caught up instead.
11 girls and 14 boys so far and still two ewes left to lamb. Maybe only one I am not too sure Sammich is bred to be honest. I am thinking she is just fat.
I did have some time to run down and check my hives at the orchard and the owner was all smiles and telling me how wonderful it was to see and hear his trees full of bees again. He told me he hadn't had an apple crop at all in years until this last Fall and he is 100% convinced it's because of the bees working and pollinating them. I know the girls up here are all up in the Apple blossoms we got as well.
One of these days I may even get started on some new bee woodenware in case the traps start catching some swarms.
Never enough time in Spring. Never.
Keep Prepping Everyone!!!!!
