Signs of the Decline

I haven't been writing much by way of political posts lately. In many ways they are counter productive, at least in the short term, although eventually the hypocrisy that underlies the entire mess will be exposed for all to see and admit to. At present however it is the rare individual who can fully detach themselves enough to see the big picture without being completely biased in one direction or another. Usually exclusively for their own gain or whatever personal cash cow they happen to be milking until death do them part be it EBT, Public Pensions, Social Security, whatever. Sifting through the BS to get to the actual heart of the matter is pretty much inconsequential at this point anyway. The political and financial outcome is pretty much etched in stone it's just a matter of observing it as it happens and being prepared when it all comes crashing down.

And crashing down it will.....

I am reminded of a local couple that lived close by a few years ago. They had a fairly successful business that many preppers and readers here might recognize if I named it. They seemed happy but one Spring morning on my way to work at 5AM I drove by the Woman out jogging down the road. In all the years we had been living close to each other I had never seen her jog. Then it became a daily occurrence. I remember at the time telling my wife that things were changing and I doubt they would be married inside of a year. As is typical with my early observations the Mrs. exclaimed I couldn't make a prediction like that on such flimsy evidence.

Well the Mrs. was right. It took em almost a 14 months to get divorced not 12. As usual with doom predictions I missed the timing and predicted it early. Go figure.

My point is sometimes you can see the pieces fit together from the simplest and slightest observation.  One person can drive by and see a bunch of new dwellings being built and think the economy is booming while another can go by and notice all those buildings are duplexes or quadplexes and realize we have become a nation of tenants which tells a different story. Regardless of which story you want to believe the end result will be the same.

Recently a half dozen signs have been placed on businesses down in Austin, Texas. A mere half dozen shouldn't even be news worthy except of course it happens to speak out against the current MUlti-Cult/PC frenzy religion that engulfs America's Lefty progressives and that our government obsesses over.

Someone in Austin Is Putting Up "Exclusively For White People" Stickers

At least six businesses in Austin, Texas, have been plastered with stickers reading “Exclusively For White People," drawing condemnation from the state’s residents, lawmakers and NAACP representatives.

My bet personally is that this is a hoax and the stickers are being placed by Liberals to try and stir up trouble. However the personal motivations of the people placing these stickers isn't as important as what it shows is happening not just in Austin but across the US. Gentrification. Which is really just a clickish way of saying Whites moving back into the cities from the suburbs.

Many of you may remember that a migration back into the cities has long been reported as being a sure sign of energy decline and peak oil. It has been happening for years now but like everything else in this decline it starts out at the speed of continental drift. Slowly, and most refuse to even notice it, but happen it does. Oil prices maybe down right now but that is only a part of the whole expense of living in suburbia. As the middle class gets destroyed so does the suburbs. In turn this will cause more and more racial, cultural and class tensions that will simply exasperate the decline more. It will also ultimately hurt the tax base in the form of less gasoline, property and use taxes, which will effect the entire pie and send the various groups into even more squabbling over whats left.

Nothing that wasn't predicted seven or eight years ago I might add but as typical most thought it would start happening years before it begins to show itself as a problem. By the time it really becomes noticeable to the average person the prediction has long been forgotten.

But that doesn't change the outcome one bit.

Keep Prepping Everyone!!!!!

  1. You're right: it may be moving only at glacial speed, but that's just because the American economy is massive. Once acceleration begins, it'll be all-but-impossible to stop or turn it.

    1. RP - Ya the further we move over that hockey stick the faster it goes and I believe it is going faster this year than it was last year. The big problem is no matter how knowledgeable one is or how much research they do unless they actually are privy to the big money industry they don't really know how many tricks the FED and others have up their sleeve. Their resilience has been rather awe inspiring in some ways.

  2. At the rate these others countries are dropping the dollar and joining that new world bank being put together as we speak, it theoretically shouldn't take long for the dollar to crash and become worthless.

My dad once told me and I can't remember if it was before or after my divorce, but he basically said to watch these women who suddenly start getting into shape and slimming down. They usually leave their current man. You know what, that's exactly what happened to me.

    1. Anon - I have been following that Asian investment bank thing with some interest as well. It could in fact do what you pointed out quite easily. I sometimes wonder if China and others haven't been waiting for the perfect time in all of this.

The getting in shape and dropping weight thing is a huge red flag no doubt about that. I have also noted over the years that almost every Woman I ever seen that gets breast implants is never with the original guy a year later either. I am sure there are exceptions though. To be honest it wasn't just the jogging that made me make the prediction she suddenly was interested in things and people besides getting in shape too.

  3. Hey there, anonymous---I was one of those women who left her husband a year or so after becoming fit. I took up running as a means of therapy after my husband called me the wrong name in BED. Running was what awakened me to a renewed sense of self-worth and it helped me cope with a lot of emotional pain. Sometimes it is hard to tell what comes first, the chicken or the egg!

    1. I was on the receiving end of her crap and I never lost my sense of self worth. If you didn't so anything wrong, you shouldn't feel that I was speaking to you.

    2. Anons - Assigning any blanket blame for the end of a relationship was not my intent with the post.... This time anyway. We can have a good one if I go off on an Anti-Feminist rant though :)

A Woman in a relationship suddenly finding the urge to get fit and trim is a big red flag or should be to the guy in the relationship. You can usually tell a lot by if the man really notices though one way or another.

  4. I saw that yesterday, of course it was with a black women holding it. It could be directed towards illegals or even our beloved Muslims?? Just like the age old question how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop??? One may never know.

  5. I have mentioned this before but every town in western Virginia seems to be rolling the dice and pumping money into things that will capture the tourist dollars. That is the solution to economic problems, not actually creating something to sell or even a real service. Public money is going to creating entertainment for some group of people that come from somewhere to spend tons of money(the hope) to eliminate the boredom of their rich lives I guess. Could these mystery visitors be the same people who are going back to the cities? I seriously don't have a clue who these target tourists are but they aren't from other countries from what I can tell. There better be a damn big load of them as we are depending on them. I will label this "The Field of Dreams Syndrome" since nobody else has given it a name yet, build it and they will come!

    1. Heard this in California years ago, especially as the North Coast of California transitioned from Lumber to "tourism". Problem is, people without money don't travel or tour.

  6. Preppy - So this maybe, possibly, could have occurred somewhere near to where I live....possibly. Funny thing is that this is the most ridiculously market to try this in. Austin is a well known liberal blue dot in the center of Texas and I can assure anyone associated with the city is falling over themselves denying any involvement.

The symbol is the legitimate city symbol. Someone has a pretty good label printing system to make those.

It's either some idiot trying to stir up trouble, be they liberal or conservative. As you say, not a good sign.

  7. Based on your link, it looks like a protest against gentrification. So while not exactly a hoax, it is coming from the liberal side.
