In The Hay - Headin to Ohio

Taking a quick work trip to Ohio this morning. I know bad timing with some of the lowest temps we have had forecast the entire Winter blowing in at us from the North. The critters are going to need extra hay and bedding and someone has to man the cold weather command center in my absence.

I tried asking if any of the Hay Girls would help out while I was gone but they all said it was too cold and not to bother them until Summer. So I guess it is up to my Son and the Mrs. to keep the fire going and make sure the pipes don't freeze.

As much as I like having the Winter reset and getting some much needed brush busting done each year I am ready for some warmer temps that stay around that's for sure.

Anyway see ya all Thursday sometime.

Keep Prepping Everyone!!!

  1. Man you have it all figured out. Here I am bundling up and feeding hay all by myself. Those helpers have been working so hard that they got all hot. I'm going to tell the wife that I need help with the hay and tractor driving!

  2. With bitter cold temps, open that wallet and buy them some warm winter clothes. We still want them around come summer. Stay safe.

  5. The wife said no so I was out in -10F feeding hay to the horse again this morning. It would have been nice to have some girl help out there this morning. I even had their fur lined winter bikini uniforms picked out. Oh well, maybe next year.
