Homesteading from the Male perspective as the Long Slow decline continues and Rural America is Besieged.
Good luck down there, check out those tractors!
Sf - Ya know I saw very few tractors and not a one being used. That part of Missouri and Arkansas is pretty rugged and woody not as much agriculture at least the type that needs a lot of tractor work as up here and more North.
Are you in MO? I have family in the gainesville area. Beautiful place, hard to farm though
LW - Ya but I am way North of Gainesville I am a few miles North of the river actually on the edge of where Missouri starts really opening up for big field production. I know down there it is so rugged there ain't as much farming going on.
Arkansas is a different kind of place; y'all be careful down there, hear?
I can confirm. (source: current resident)
They never even knew I was there so no rescue mission had to be formed and all the daughters are long grown and their fathers dropped the shotguns long ago :)
PP,Be careful driving, rain and storms expected.
Sandy - Me going to Arkansas rain is the least of my worries :)
Stay Safe my friend. I never trust those LEO's anywhere.
Rob - Especially when you are from out of town...
It's good your job lets you travel some. I used to sit at a desk.
Harry - These days they don't much let White Men sit at a desk those are jobs for the affirmative action hires.
