The Afternoon/Evening wasn't so Bad

After the rain went through I was able to get back out and achieve at least most of what I had hoped for today.

I got the telephone pole cut up into 8 nine foot sections which should save me a good chunk of change on either corner posts or gate posts later this Summer.

Unloaded all the firewood we got split and totally filled the wood furnace racks once again. Even though I am burning a small fire tonight this should allow me to begin filling the reserve rack area for next Winter's consumption now.

I even got to hive that new swarm I caught in the trap and put some sugar syrup in with them. It was an extremely small swarm and hadn't even started making much of any new comb off the top cover yet. Really I should have put them into a four or five frame nuc box instead of a full brood chamber but I had already moved the brood box out there. I would estimate the swarm in total wasn't any larger than maybe a ball of bees about the size of an orange.

Looks like I won't be getting anything done tomorrow since I got called into work and will be gone all day. Hopefully by Saturday the garden will dry out enough along with the grass so I can get those two items caught up.

Keep Prepping Everyone!!!!

    1. Sf - They said we needed another 1.73 inches to hit normal and I know we got that. I guess we will see if we get anymore before the 30th now.
