Monday Turns out to Be Pumpkin Day

I had a huge list of stuff I needed to get done today but the most pressing to me seemed to be getting the pumpkin patch area fully prepped and ready for planting. I had a small delivery and after getting that done I came back to the Small-Hold and began mulching up the pumpkin area which lead to pruning some of my tomato plants, which reminded me I still had two Tobacco plants and one last Tomato to find homes for. Besides I needed another tray for the new Pumpkin sprouts to let them grow a few weeks before officially planting the Patch.

Actually I already have the pumpkins for the patch in small pots but I have a bunch of saved and retail seeds that I am sure are too old to be very viable so I just sprouted them all this weekend and whatever sprouts I am going to plant. Somewhere.

Well one thing lead to another and by the time the Sun was going down I came in and ended up watching  a short of Canadian Trudoe-boy whispering sweet nothings into Zelinski's ear about the joys of LGBQT living  and the post I had planned for the evening just fled in fear. I am too beat to even think of a new one. I must admit though the heat we were getting with the drought-like conditions has pleasantly gone away and it was quite pleasant working in the garden this afternoon and evening.

I got Watermelon and Cucumber blooms taking over now and started noticing my first assassin bugs stalking the honeybees all over the garden today. First ones I seen this year so far and I only noticed them when I deposited a bunch of Tomato cutting into the compost heap. Gonna start getting much more busy around here now as pruning, training and coxing vines now will be more important.

Keep prepping Everyone!!!
