Tractor Time : Anyone Know This Tractor?

In for a quick lunch then back to work so I thought I would post another tractor picture. I am not sure what type/brand of tractor this one is however. It's yellow so maybe a Minneapolis Moline? It does kinda have that look to it with that large cowl around the radiator and those long lines down the side.

I tried enlarging the photo more but I am pretty sure this subject has been enlarged before as well :) Whatever the case the letters got too fuzzy to make out.

  1. Per Wikipedia: Valmet (originally Valtion Metallitehtaat - State Metalworks) was formed in 1931, when the country of Sweden decided to group their various factories working on war reparations to the Soviet Union under one company, Valmet. The factories within the group produce a wide array of products including aeroplanes, road vehicles, locomotives, weapons manufacturing and everyday household appliances.

    1. I would have swore that first letter was a T and Not a V. Now that you point it out however I am sure you are correct. I think you meant they were made in Finland though rather than Sweden I imagine.

Nice looking tractor though thanks for looking that up.

  4. The engines aren't very good, it would be easy to throw a rod in one of them. Looks like the ones the highway department used to have here but I never looked closely at them.
