The end result is I am too tired to think of anything good to write about.
In fact all I got is this article and the poll above that comes with it.
The Gender Gap on Gun Control
Basically as I read it All Democrats in general are the enemy but there isn't much difference in the numbers between Democrat and Republican Women.
And that is scary.
I would love to have a discussion on this article/poll, but I doubt too many out there besides the Sane and Logical Women Posters I get here (And you Ladies know who you are) that comment will bother.
Oh well.
For you 29% Ladies. I salute you!!!

DeleteI read a blog written by a lady. She did a good posting on a civil war reenactment she went to. About half the women who commented said it would be a good thing. The other half said they would like to see a museum but did not like guns being fired at the reenactment. Some of them said things like " I don't like guns so I wouldn't like that." I felt kind of bad for them. When the meth monster or crackhead comes through the window, it'll be a little late to rethink that position.

DeleteHonestly part of me credits the other side's willingness to use pathos laden propaganda to scare women of all the horrible things that will happen if you have a gun.
ReplyDeleteIronically they accuse us of using pathos laden propaganda to scare women of criminals so that they buy guns to be safe. At this point I'm tempted to see this really tried and see just how many more "first time gun buyers" there suddenly are.
Ody - Yes but I think it goes deeper than that. Women will more naturally put their protection in the government than men. Why I don't know but the numbers clearly show they will.
DeleteIt also means that as long as they feel they should be able to change things with mass voting they will continue to do so until confronted with a different kind of force.
I think that this poll should have also been done with a second question right after the first....do you think banning ALL guns would help reduce shootings. Would be interesting to know how many of the respondants are just afraid of those "scary looking black guns" or firearms in general.
ReplyDeleteAnd it does sadden me that so many women are not only afraid of firearms, but will do anything they can to disarm other women. WHY in the world WOULDN'T a woman want to have "The Great Equalizer" as a close or constant companion?! I don't get it.

kymber - well these polls do seem to back up the numbers we have been seeing at least back East.
