So it warmed up enough for Kymber to go swimming and she took her duck with her.....
By the way kymber. It just occurred to me that it is highly possible your new duck visitor is not a wild duck at all but some nearby neighbor's duck. Many Mallard looking ducks are semi-domesticated and fly around to visit others. A good way to tell is if you ever get close to said duck, check it's webbed feet. If they are smooth the chances are it's a domesticated duck and not a wild one. If it's feet are bumpy then it is more than likely wild.
The video did make me laugh. Why did she go back into the water!?!
ReplyDeleteKev - Not really sure I guess when the duck switched to air assault mode she just fled in even more maddened panic :)
DeletePP was that the new drone duck that you got last week?
ReplyDeleteSf - LOL if only I had one a trip to Canada would be in order :)
DeleteI am pretty sure that was a stunt double duck...
ReplyDeleteTB - He was obviously crazed :)
DeleteWhat in the world did that duck want?! LOL That was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteLeigh - If I had to guess I would bet he and a hen had a nest nearby. Only time I seen em get that aggressive.
DeleteOmg! Your such a Weiner...she is gonna put her buttkickin boots on... But on the flip side- that was pretty funny....
ReplyDeleteJuGM - Ya I laughed loudly at that. I was so loud my son came and laughed at it too.
DeletePP,
ReplyDeleteLove the video!! We trained our ducks from little chicks to follow us around, and chase people who should be on the property. They make great security birds :PPPP
Sandy - The ones my grandparents had would start cackling and were almost as loud as the guinea hens.
Deletebahahahah - ya wiener! i loved the video but i sure do hope my duck doesn't turn out to be as aggressive as that one! i think you are right tho, that there was a nest nearby. and thanks for the tips on checking the feet. he hasn't been back yet today but we are still hopefull...and have put out some lettuce for him per Sweet Sandy's tip. much love brother!
ReplyDeleteyour friend,
kymber
Kymber,
