Yep the sun was actually shining yesterday and the temps made it up into the 50's. It was reported to me that all the hives were out flying but sadly I didn't get to see it. I had to work a 12 hour shift yesterday.
Later this afternoon I also have to make a run up to the KC airport to deliver a Mercedes to a pilot when he lands.
Between now and then though I am going to recycle one of this years mistakes into warm day bee food.
It seems since the first batch of watermelon jelly never set up properly I am going to try and use it as syrup for the bees. I mean why not it isn't much different than feeding em straight sugar syrup. Right?
I'll let ya all know how this turns out.
Anyway need to hit the ground running today. Much work to be done. More later.

I hope the bees like your watermelon syrup. Then there's always the risk they won't go back to sugar-water, if they like it too much. :)
ReplyDeleteSunny here but nothing flying, it has been so windy and cold. We haven't even got into winter yet, lucky we have global warming or it would be really cold and nasty.
