Kinda busy for a Monday but not overly so. I did do a little digging and found out the newest large acre sale I talked about yesterday of the old Horse farm did in fact go through this weekend with initial plans of immediately starting on 200 new homes for the area. I wonder how much of this announced imminent gain in inventory has to do with so many plans seeming to stop recently in other areas locally?
I needed to begin some much needed tree trimming in my yard much to the happiness of the goats and sheep who absolutely love tender new branches and leaves. Almost as good as surplus garden produce they way they act.
The main topics of concern around the internet today seems to be the discovery that France's Premiere appears to be openly negotiating with BRIC countries now, the scuttlebutt is due to limited energy resources, a basic hue and cry about an uptick in nations returning to a nuclear energy option as they admit this Western led green alternative just isn't going to cut it, Which includes France it should be noted. Plus the total failure of Pixar and Disneys opening weekend for some woke garbage movie named "Elementals" or something like that. Reported as being a mix of Anti-Male and totally woke propaganda that netted somewhere less than 30 million on it's opening weekend.
Horror of all horrors I found squash bug eggs on one of my Melon plants this afternoon. I stopped growing Squash due to those damned bugs I really hate them.
Also reports say auto foreclosures are way up and the pre-owned market is getting hit hard and there is alot of rumbling about shuttering American agriculture down harder now that they have proven it can be done in Holland.
The Nuclear energy news does not surprise me at all as Western Feminism meets the wall of the loss of easy cheap energy. I have no doubt the US could probably supply our allies with enough cheap energy resources to last a long time but it would require a massive reduction in the woke, Feminist, Green agenda the US has been pushing for so long so that eventuality may still take some time. Reality and Femocrats are not a long term commitment.

ReplyDeleteAbon - Me too I have pretty much eliminated Zucs and early squash big attractors but for some reason these new cucumbers are attracting them now.
DeletePP, having had the luxury of a two week break and perspective from across the water in one of the major birthplaces of Western Civilization, it is clear that the system is badly under stress and simply cannot survive much longer in its current configuration. As the saving goes, work as hard as you can, save as much as you can, pray as hard as you can.

DeleteFor years I never had issues and always a bountiful harvest but I had to stop growing squash cause of them.
