In the South you will get deciduous trees on the south side for shading.russell1200https://www.blogger.com/profile/16258915475311426433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8788289492661192400.post-31747017898020774392015-10-12T16:00:41.745-04:002015-10-12T16:00:41.745-04:00Happy thanksgiving all.

Truth is most of what I cut is in some pretty hard to get to areas until the vegetation dies out around it and the ground freezes. I have a long list of already dead standing trees to cut this Winter. One advantage of living in a heavily forested area is there is rarely a lack of standing dead trees around.<br />PioneerPreppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09269878017447335944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8788289492661192400.post-32857231515152705652015-10-12T01:55:50.704-04:002015-10-12T01:55:50.704-04:00Also as for the deer thing I didn't realise un...Also as for the deer thing I didn't realise until I watched a programme not so long ago How important a homestead dog was to protect your fruit and veg, I just assumed that they were to protect stock.Kev Alvitihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04992625860900617194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8788289492661192400.post-65897205428623035122015-10-12T01:54:11.636-04:002015-10-12T01:54:11.636-04:00I've been very poor on getting firewood ready ...I've been very poor on getting firewood ready this year as my time has been dedicated to house and shed projects as well as trying to earn enough to pay for them! But I've been lucky in the knowledge that my brother has said he'd sort me out if we run short (I've probably got 3/4 of what we need) as I've been doing lots of work at his. I like to have a good field of fire. Coons are my major garden pest but I got one of the new dog proof leg traps that they can't seem to resist so I put a dent in the population.
