They are energy and therefore monetarily efficient for NOW, but if the grid goes down and something other than the financial blowout occurs, most of us are all toast (by the old slow over-the-campfire method) anyway. If they don’t have a service manual, for say a chainsaw, I would probably take it back before I even fire it up.
