So Ask Yourself a Question

I know it's been years since economic collapse seemed inevitable.  I know the 2008 double whammy of Obummer and Bailouts woke many people up. Why even though I had been a prepper myself before that I had even reached a point of forgetfulness until Fall of "08" jolted me out of my slumber.

I also know many people have become frustrated and began to question if in fact we were in as much trouble as it seemed back then.

If these guys can keep kicking the can this far why they might be able to kick it long past my lifetime. That and ya know they keep saying the economy is improving just look at their numbers.

Why waste all this money on preps that could be going to booze and strippers damnit?

OK not all of you want to spend money on booze... I understand.

Anyway. It's right there. Manufacturing is up. Inventories are up. GDP is up. Deficits are down. Things are getting better.

Then we see this.

Census Faked 2012 election jobs report

Ahhhmmmm.

Now what you truly need to ask yourself is if they are willing to fake something this important what else have they been lying to us about?

Just what government figures and facts are you going to believe?

Keep Prepping Everyone!!!!

  1. The way that things are measured has changed over the last 40 years. Inflation, employment, the climate, even race. It is as though both parties are saying "these people are stupid, they will believe anything". Well they are right, it worked, I know few people who can see through this smoke and mirror game, they think things are fine and the economy is moving along just fine. They don't want facts, don't want to hear them.

    1. SF - I hear ya. I keep trying as I know others do as well. I think a time of awakening is coming but I fear it will wait until I am too old to do anythign about it at this point.

  2. I've never trusted the bastards (excuse my language) as they fake every number known to man. .

  3. Anybody who trusts anything the government says should watch the new movie on History Channel and the Discovery Channel about the Challenger Disaster. That will cure you. But anyone over the age of 20 has probably already learned the lesson through personal experience.

  4. I don't believe anything the government says! Have you heard about the ACS from the census people. I was unlucky enough to get one of those 30+ page doozies about a year ago. It is the most personal and intrusive waste of paper I had ever seen. They ask questions like what time do you go to work and what car are you driving. What time do you come home. They sent me more than one because I didn't fill it out quick enough. There wasn't a due date ;) I ended up getting a $15 fed ex overnight letter threatening me with a fine and then the census lady started coming around, harassing me for not doing it. Wanting to do it verbally. It takes only 30 minutes, ha! I finally gave in and filled it out (I'm pissed at myself for doing it but I wasn't honest) I let my goat chew on it for awhile when I was done. I wish I would have rubbed it in chicken poo too. Anyway I send it and the lady is still on my porch yelling at me for not doing it and going to put me down as refusing to do it. This is after I sent the damn thing. That old broad got a cussing the day I was trying to get out of my driveway to pick my kids up and she was on my porch and her car was blocking my way. She didn't come back, but I always wonder how far they would have gone if I hadn't caved in.......
After posting about raw milk on my blog I was randomly chosen to do a food survey for the CDC too. My husband thinks I need to quit the internet LOL!!!!

    1. Kelly - Interesting. I heard about the census thing but lucky for me I wasn't chosen. The raw milk scenario is why I deleted all my earlier blog posts last November. I had a bit too much info on there.

  6. Funny money funny stats funny law funny everything. If it were real it would have collapsed a long time ago. But they're building funny people who like funny world and maybe it will go on forever. Now that's a depressing thought.

    1. MASR - KK. And yes I am trying to slip into that mode myself now. Willing retirement on little income. So far I am managing but a lot of toys and purchasing power has had to be sacrificed.

Still having time to do the things I want and need to do has something to be said for it. What I really need is a part time job.
